The Alabama Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP) is a federally funded initiative administered by the FTA that offers training and technical assistance to support the development of rural transportation.

Our goal is to help agencies deliver safe, efficient, and accessible transportation to the citizens of Alabama.

Customer Assistance Readiness & Essential Sensitivity Training

Developed by Alabama RTAP and its partners, the C.A.R.E.S. training programs reduce liability and improve customer care through targeted safety and sensitivity training.
